Cell Phone expectations in the classroom
- Come into class and get started on your bell ringer.
- Listen to my directions about which applications to use and which Internet sites, if any, you are to access.
- Save your material often.
- Keep your hands on YOUR OWN computer.
- NO games unless approved by me for educational purposes.
- Absolutely NO air-dropping, instant messaging, chat rooms, or personal e-mail unless you have been given permission.
- You may listen to appropriate music with earbuds while working on assignments.
Computer expectations while in the classroom

Classroom Behavior while in the classroom
Students are expected to be responsible, respectful, safe, and engaged!

Teacher's Desk
Responsible students will come to class with all necessary items. If items from the teacher's desk are needed, students are expected to ask before acquiring.
Respectful students will respect "their space, their stuff; my space, my stuff". Students are expected to respect those boundaries.
School Materials
School materials belong to the school.
Responsible students will use them as needed, ensure that they get placed back in the appropriate area, and let the teacher know if more materials are needed.
If school materials are used.
Respectful students will share materials, use materials in an appropriate manner, and replace the items where they were found.
Assigned Tasks
Responsible students will complete assigned tasks on-time. They will record important due dates in a planner, stickie, iCal, Google Calendar, Reminders, etc... If working in a group, students will be expected to do their fair share of the work.
Respectful students will have a positive attitude towards assignments. If working in a group, students will offer constructive criticism and respect the thoughts and ideas of others.
Enter and Exit
Responsible students will enter the classroom on-time and quietly. They will go to their assigned seat and get started on the bell ringer.
Respectful students will wait to be dismissed by the teacher and put chairs back/pushed in before leaving.
Free Time/Quiet Time
Responsible students will have either a book or homework to work on during any and all study time when allotted.
Respectful students will engage in a quiet form of study or reading during study time so that other students can do the same.
Asking for Help
Responsible students advocate for themselves. They ask for help when needed.
Respectful students are expected to ask nicely for assistance rather than demanding assistance. A respectful student says "Please" and "Thank you".
Seat Work
Respectful students will not distract other students when work time is given.
Responsible students make a plan to get work done and get right to work.
Drinks
Responsible students stop at the drinking fountain on the way to class without being tardy. They may choose to bring a water bottle to class.
Respectful students recognize that asking for a drink during direct instruction is rude and takes away from the learning.
Bathroom
Responsible students stop at the bathroom on the way to class without being tardy.
Respectful students recognize that asking to use the restroom during direct instruction is rude and takes away from the learning. Students should wait, if possible, for a. break in class time.
Computer Usage
Responsible students plug in their computers at night to ensure they will maintain a charge during school hours. Students should save often and make a back-up of all large projects.
Respectful students understand that all the computers are school property, but are to be treated carefully as if they were your own.
Substitute
Responsible students follow the same guidelines as when the regular classroom teacher is present.
Respectful students give the substitute a warm FPC welcome and offer help as needed.
